Post-Natal Group
Join us for a fun day with guest ECE’s, who will be teaching a special way to communicate with your baby - Sign Language! Our Post-Natal group is designed for families with children aged 0 – 6. Light lunch / snacks provided.

For the month of February, the Parenting Bundle classes all revolve around the theme of Storytelling, and this week we look at Healing From Bear Moon. Healthy Adult Relationships. Based on traditional Indigenous teachings, our Bundle program helps parents and caregivers assemble their own personal bundle, made up of sacred items, both physical and spiritual, that can assist in child rearing. Families with children aged 0 – 6 are welcome.

When you’re a single parent, it can be hard to cope. Join us this week to talk strategies, to vent, or to learn more how you can support other single parents in your life. We’ll have some Chinese Macaroni, and a lot of great listeners. Each Parenting Circle is a time for Indigenous parents, grandparents and caregivers to discuss developmental milestones and self-care while children socialize.

Post-Natal Group
Come for an informative visit with Dave Elder, our friendly Ottawa Public Health Nurse at our Post-Natal group, for caregivers and babies up to 18 months. No question is too big or too small when we’re talking about development, mental health and physical growth together! This week our meal will be refreshing cold pasta salad.

Even if you’ve never used a needle or thread, you’ll have a blast sewing a teething blanket with Cindy this week! Instead of We Sit Together’s normal hours at the Early Years House, you’re invited to join in at the Sky Room at Wabano (299 Montreal Rd, Vanier) for this special series.
