Pregnancy Circle: Fall 2019 Six-Week Series
Part of our registered six-week series where we learn and talk about the experiences and expectations during pregnancy & bringing baby home. This week we’re learning about pregnancy health, coping with each stage of labour, complications, breastfeeding, brining baby home, and informed decision making, all through the lens of our traditional cultural teachings.

Come learn about the peyote stitch and make one of your own. No previous art experience is necessary to participate in our Indigenous art workshops. All art supplies will be provided and our workshops feature nontoxic materials. These workshops are open to all age groups. Families are welcome!

Minwaashin Pow Wow! Meet us at the Minwaashin Pow Wow at the Richilieu Vanier Community Centre at 300 Des, Pères-Blancs Ave, Ottawa, ON K1L 7L5. Drivers - you can park at Odawa Native Friendship Centre at 715 St. Laurent Blvd and take the shuttle to the Richelieu-Vanier Community Centre. There will be a shuttle every 30 minutes, with the last one leaving the Pow Wow for the parking lot at 5pm.

Pool time for our Post-Natal Group today! Registration required, please contact Jasmine Chatelain jchatelain@wabano.com or ext 355 to register. Transportation to the pool is provided, please arrive at 10:30am or meet us at the Plant Pool at 930 Somerset St W, Ottawa, ON K1R 6R9. Lunch is served and families with children aged 0 – 6 are welcome.

Join us at the Pumpkin Patch! Space is limited. Contact Kathryn Barry at kbarry@wabano.com to register. Based on traditional Indigenous teachings, our Bundle program helps parents and caregivers assemble their own personal bundle, made up of scared items, both physical and spiritual, that can assist in child rearing. Families with children aged 0 – 6 are welcome.
