Parenting Bundle – Revitalizing Indigenous Languages with Special Guest Brian Pelletier

Join us for a Parenting Bundle Special Event! We’ll start with dinner in the Earth Room of the Wabano Centre, then parents will move to the Grand Gathering Space to listen to Special Guest Brian Peltier talk about revitalizing Indigenous languages and the kids will join our early childhood educators in the basement for cultural activities!

Brian Pelletier is a band member of Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory. Brian is Midewin (Wiikwemkoong Minoweyweywigaan Lodge) and a helper in the Rain Dance Lodge. For over 9 years, Brian has been the Cultural Programmer for the Wikwemikong Heritage Organization and has been working on the promotion and revitalization of the Anishinaabemolwin language, Anishinaabe Aadizowin (Way of life), Manidoo Aadizowin (Spirituality).

About the Parenting Bundle Program

Based on traditional teachings, our Bundle program helps parents and caregivers assemble their own personal bundle, made up of scared items, both physical and spiritual, that can assist in child rearing. Families with children aged 0 – 6 are welcome.
